MONZA ZY 32-C SHIFTER
This
represents an evolution from the ZX 32-C model
with which it maintains a common body design and
the principal equipment. The differences are in
the technical specifications of the pipes with
which the chassis and some accessories are constructed.
In fact, after extensive tests, the main pipe
was modified in order to optimize its performance
with medium-soft tyres and on rubberized tracks,
typical conditions of International tracks. The
behaviour of the chassis has been improved and
is freer without compromising its excellent curve-handling
and braking stability. The diameter of the pipes
is still 32 mm and one of the few visible modifications
is the bearing support flanges which allow for
more rear control. In reference to the front brakes,
a hydraulic system with 150x12G disk is planned,
while, the rear disk is 200x15 G. Standard magnesium
rims and two stabilising bars, one anterior and
one lateral are planned. The eccentric bushing
is also new and allows for easier front-end control.
For National and International competitions it
can be mounted with the new rear Freeline housing
(optional) while the standard PVC adhesive kit
in Monza colours is included in the design.
Chassis
The body is constructed of 32mm diameter tubes
in a conventional design which differs only in
a few details from the 2007 model. The specifications
of the pipes used, instead, were modified to obtain
better performance, especially from the point
of view of fluidity. The bearing support flanges
are new and guarantee the possibility of various
posterior adjustments. An anterior stabilizing
bar, slightly in front of the “C”
spindles is included in the design.
Equipment
Standard magnesium rims and the 50x2x1040 F are
planned. The eccentric external bushings in order
to facilitate control are new. All of the accessories,
among which are the hubs, are HQ Freeline, while
the housings are Cik 03 Freeline complete with
the PVC adhesive kit in Monza colours. The 320
mm steering wheel is blue and silver and includes
the Monza emblem on the upper part, while the
tank is removable as per International regulations.
Front-end brakes and the new rear Freeline housing
can be requested as options
Front-end brakes
Much sought-after from the design point of view,
they represent a technological focus from the
technical point of view. The pump is separate
from the rear one, allowing for specific adjustments,
while the disks are self-ventilated 150x12 G.
Braking efficiency is at a maximum and all ordinary
maintenance is facilitated.
Rear brakes
The hydraulic systems provides for a cast-iron
disk mounted on a 200x15G axle. The braking power
is exceptional and represents a notable strength
in the competitive arena. The workmanship of the
system is much sought-after both aesthetically
and technologically and includes various solutions
which make maintenance simple and functional.
