100 ICA – 100 ICA JUNIOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
SELECTIONS
204 DRIVERS QUALIFIED FOR THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
THREE SELECTION ROUNDS RUN IN DIFFERENT AREAS QUALIFIED
THE DRIVERS WHO WILL COMPETE FOR THE TITLE IN CORRIDONIA
ON NEXT AUGUST 24TH.
Saint Laurent de Mure for the western area, Francorchamp
for the northern area and Ampfing for central Europe
are the locations chosen by the International Federation
for the selections of the next-coming European Championship
in which the 100 Ica and 100 Ica Junior categories will
compete for the title during one round only scheduled
on next August 24th in Corridonia. In the selection,
which took place in France, the Swiss Buemi won the
100 Ica Junior, while the driver Nieves was successful
in the 100 Ica. In Germany Claudio Mack stood out in
the Junior, while Kamitsakis was successful in the Ica.
In Belgium Mustonen won the Junior, while Keyaert won
the Ica. All Birel drivers passed their respective selections
and in particular Mapelli and Tedeschini stood out in
Ampfing, while Bernardo Sousa of the Mgm team outdistanced
the others in Saint Laurent de Mure, gaining a very
good 2nd position. Of course all drivers aimed at passing
the qualification avoiding useless risks and so the
rounds took place as expected, that is without many
unexpected events. The next round in Corridonia will
be completely different, having over 100 drivers competing
both for the 100 Ica Junior and for the 100 Ica. The
next event is scheduled for the weekend on August 24th
and hopefully the Italian location will favour our colours
represented by very good drivers.
