And the
success obtained by this Championship confirms the importance
of such event for the international karting, compared
to the top-class competitions in which all major teams
and the best drivers of the sector are present. Among
the competitors there are also two young promising drivers
with important surnames: Johnny Amadeus Cecotto (15
years old, son of Johnny Cecotto, champion in the Supertourism
class) and Federico Montoya (18 years old, brother of
the F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya). Last year the drivers
who gained the titles were the Swiss Sebastien Buemi
in the 100 Junior, the Danish Nikolai Bollingtoft in
the 100 ICA, the French Manuel Renaudie in Formula A
and the Italian driver from Salerno Francesco Laudato
in the 125 ICC.
