RISITANO WINS AGAIN WITH FULL SCORE IN CHAMPIONSHIP
THE ROMAN DRIVER REPEATS THE SUCCESS OBTAINED IN SARNO. PIC IS THE WINNER OF THE JUNIOR, WHERE ANGUERSUARI IS PLACED 1ST IN THE RESULTS LIST, WHILE IN FA AND IN ICC BIREL TEAM OBTAINS MUCH LESS THAN EXPECTED ACCORDING TO THE POTENTIAL EXPRESSED DURING THE RACE.

Birel drivers confirm their leadership in all categories during the 2° round of the Italian Open Masters Championship. The most significant results are in the 100 Junior and in the 100 Ica categories, where the couple Birel-Tm gains two important successes. Even in the Junior Birel drivers gain the first 4 positions after the finishing line. The winner is the French driver Pic, who precedes Anguersuari of 4 tenths of a second. With this first position the driver of the MGM team is now leading the Championship, where the other driver of the Italian team Campos rises in rank as well and, thanks to the 3rd position obtained in Sarno, he is now placed 6th in the general results list. The excellent success of Birel team is completed by Grabmuller (Birel-Parilla) in the Junior category thanks to his 4th position, preceding Calado and Oakes.

Coletti is down on his luck in this round and is off the track during the 16th lap, just when he is among the first drivers competing for the title. In the 100 Ica category the English Christodoulou is the only driver able to compete against Risitano and Lancaster, who are both going to compete for the title before the English driver is stopped by a technical failure. So Risitano can control Christodoulou and repeat the success obtained in Sarno, and now the Roman driver has a full score in Championship, where he precedes his team-mate Lancaster. Waldschmidt comes in 3rd , preceding Mustonen. In Formula A Cesetti and Fanetti are still down on their luck: Cesetti, after very good qualifying rounds and rounds, is leading in the Final as well, but he can not avoid the collision with Renaudie, whose engine breaks down just in front of him. So, because of the damages caused to his frame he is relegated to the 12th position, while Michele Fanetti, despite his excellent performance during the whole weekend, comes in only 11th. The driver from Brescia is slowed down by his engine breakdown during the rounds and then the difficult recovery in the Final compromises the tyre performance.

So the winner is Nyman, who precedes Antonucci and Convers and the Finnish driver is also leading the Championship results list. In the 125 category Francesco Laudato experiences some technical problems and during the Final he is out when he is placed 6th. Alessandro Manetti, preceding the good driver Profico (Birel-Tm) and Principe, is the winner of the race. The next appointment with the Italian Open Masters Championship is scheduled on April 18th on the racing-track of Ugento.
