Every year, the prestigious Italian monthly Class publishes a special issue on the 100 products and services that have distinguished themselves by their technology, innovation and design. For the first time the 2005 edition will include, besides such glamorous products and names as Ferrari, Bmw, famous airlines, banks and dreamlike hotels, also a kart: the Birel M32-ST world champion with Francesco Laudato. This recognition of Birel’s technology is the result of 9 world titles in a row in the 125 class, a record that aroused the interest of the editorial staff in the Lissone-based manufacturer and their capacity of manufacturing absolutely top products at international level with an exclusive design. To Birel and karting this appreciation means a showcase that carries the discipline outside its natural setting and contributes to its promotion. As far as the magazine’s layout is concerned, each product and service reviewed is matched with a masterpiece of the Brera picture gallery, following the tradition of this publication that has by now become a classic.
