KART SHOW IN CAROLE (PARIS)

BIREL TURNS UP IN FULL FORCE

ON THE OCCASION OF THE IMPORTANT PARIS SHOW HELD DURING THE WEEKEND OF THE 5TH OF FEBRUARY, BIREL PRESENTED THE WHOLE 2006 RACING RANGE AS WELL AS THE EASYKART LINE.

The most important French karting show was staged at the international circuit of Carole, near Paris, on the 5th and 6th of February. Birel decided to turn up in full force, along with its importer MGT, setting up a large booth equipped with the structure of the semi-trailer used for competitions. The spacious tent was fitted with platforms and supporting stands to display the entire range of the 2006 Racing chassis, as well as the complete line of Easykart chassis, the promotional single-brand trophy promoted by Birel throughout the world. The Birel staff attending the event was also sided by official drivers Franceso Laudato and Sauro Cesetti, who offered indications and advice to the users regarding the 125 and 100 ranges, respectively. Great interest was aroused by the new chassis of the R line, whose body design was extensively modified in relation to the past season, as well as by the chassis produced for the Rotax single-brand trophy, which is very popular in France. However, the true protagonist of the show was certainly Francesco Laudato’s world champion kart (CMX 32 –SC), as was the Birel chassis through which the MGT team won the important 24-hour race of Le Mans. The show offered also the occasion to introduce the Easykart project to the French public and the National Sports Authority. Starting from 2006 this will be adopted in 15 different countries all over the world. Both the range and the philosophy of the programme sponsored by Birel met with great success among the public, and a delegation of engineers of the French Federation are soon going to be in Italy to attend one of the Trophy’s races. Outside the show hall, the organisers arranged also several promotional on-track events. Among them, the chief attraction was the test performed by Francesco Laudato with a Superkart: after a few warm-up laps, the new world champion of the 125 Sicc immediately recorded a significant time arousing lively enthusiasm among spectators. The results of the French show are certainly positive, both for the large attendance and the excellent media coverage the organisers were able to ensure to the event thanks to the presence of television networks and the domestic press.
