PRIZE-GIVING
CEREMONY FOR BIREL’S PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
On Saturday 18th
November the Prize-giving Ceremony for Birel’s professional
activity was held at Paladesio di Desio (MI).
For the company
from Lissone this was a great opportunity for meeting, at
the end of the season, all the partners and the drivers working
for Birel both in international Championships and in the Trophies
directly promoted by Birel.
The stage saw a
parade of official drivers Marco Wittmann, Sauro Cesetti,
Manuel Cozzaglio and the tester Giacomo Patrono, as well as
the team, the partners and the sponsors.
Honour prizes were
also given to the winners of the Karting 24 hour (Team Beretta,
Lion and Gdm) and, naturally, an important part of the evening
was dedicated to the Easykart Trophy, for which the Area champions
and the National Champions Arone (60cc), Francescon (100cc),
Gagliano (Light) and Viets (Heavy) were awarded prizes.
As far as Easykart
is concerned, the Prize-giving ceremony was also an occasion
to present a support programme for the careers of the most
deserving young drivers of the training classes 60 and 100.
Thanks to this
initiative promoted by Birel’s management, a contract
will be drawn up with 6 drivers selected within the 100 Easykart
and as many drivers will be identified who will put under
option (some of them already from the class 60).
The details of
this initiative will be formally presented in the month of
December.
On the ground floor
of the Paladesio, which was all decked out for the big event,
Gruppo Beretta managed a much enjoyed Gala dinner and a talented
vocalist entertained the gusts during the intervals of the
Prize-giving ceremony.
Among the guests
were also the Federation’s General Secretary Claudio
Bacchetta, the National Councillor Bolis and other representatives
of Sports Authorities.
The Prize-giving
ceremony is bound to become a reoccurring rendezvous at the
end of the professional season and will aim at developing
the links between the various professional sectors of the
company.
