- MARGUTTI TROPHY - PARMA - BIREL DRIVERS REACHING THE
TOP
On last March 17th, during the prestigious Margutti
Trophy that took place on the motor-racing track of Parma,
Birel drivers made themselves conspicuous once again.
The massive work carried out last season by the technical
staff of the company based in Lissone is giving good results
in this first phase of the season thanks to the competitiveness
achieved in all categories. As a matter of fact, during
the first important event of the season, the Lonato trial
of the Opel Championship, Birel drivers Francesco Laudato
and Michele Fanetti won the categories 125 Icc and 100
Ica respectively, and in Parma the categories 100 Fa and
100 Ica/junior of Birel Motorsport triumphed over other
competitors as well.

Davide Gaggianesi was the master of the most prestigious
category, while Andrea Todisco was successful in the Junior
one, a propaedeutical class which is becoming more and
more important in the sporting programmes planned by various
manufacturers.
During the Emilian trial Patrick Lumma, the promising
pilot of the German karting and our competitors Gatto,
Todeschini and Fanetti were all especially down on their
luck, and yet still aware of their potential and of the
means at their disposal. Considering all international
appointments coming up, the results obtained till now
lead to a great optimism, including all categories, and
this is the target Birel Motorsport is pursuing devoting
directly all energies to every class. |
