- EUROPEAN FORMULA A - ICC - SUPER ICC CHAMPIONSHIP -
AMPFING (D)
The first race took place in Ampfing.
The continental competition of FA-ICC and Super ICC categories
started in Germany, on the racing track of Ampfing. There
are three scheduled trials and during each event two races
will be run. The next race will take place on the 28th
of July, on the Italian racing track of Sarno, while the
final competition is scheduled for September 22nd in Mariembourg,
Belgium. The most important innovation is the introduction
of the Super Icc class that, replacing the former FC one,
becomes in fact the favourite category of 125 class. The
most successful pilots competed in this class. And as
a matter of fact competitions were won by the two most
experienced pilots: Milton Ryttarbris and Alessandro Piccini.
Birel pilots, Francesco Laudato and Laurent Groppi, suffered
a delay due to problems caused by tyres, relegating them
to supporting positions.

A partial recovery was gained by Viani who came in first
during race two in the icc category. On the contrary Birel
pilots, competing for the 100 FA category, had a very
positive week end. Salvatore Gatto attained his pole position
and after his success gained in race one, he came in fourth
during race two, obtaining a very good score. Davide Gaggianesi,
who came in second during race two, is at his best as
well. The next competition concerning the most important
continental championship is scheduled for the end of July
in Sarno. |
