A great perspective of kart
[1]
[2]
The entire KZ – 2008 series allows for the (optional) Freeline rear housing with Cik-Fia certification. [1]. Besides optimally finishing the aesthetic aspect of the kart, from the technical point of view the new housing is among the lightest and most efficient in existence, and does not influence the performance of the chassis. All models have the standard magnesium rims [2] which, along with the new hubs with 6 anchorage points, besides guaranteeing better performance by making the tyres “work” in a more optimal manner, offer more or less rear “grip” in relation to how many anchorage points are used.

NEWS - KZ SHIFTER LINE

THE KZ LINE PROVIDES FOR THREE MODELS WITH CIK-FIA CERTIFICATION DEDICATED TO THE INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL LINES WITH GEARBOX. TWO VERSIONS ARE FROM THE (CR 31-SE AND CRX 32-SE) SERIES AND ONE IS A MODEL FROM THE M (MX 32-SE) SERIES.

There will be three chassis models produced by Birel in 2008 with Cik -Fia certification for the KZ-Shifter classes in the National and International arenas.
The series will be identified by the initials “SE” and will adopt equipment from the top of the line Freeline series. Much as in the KF series, the gearbox series with scanning function will use the R 31 mark.
Built with mixed 30 and 32 mm pipes and among the chassis most used in competitive arenas, it adapts well to medium-soft tyres used in International competitions and on tracks with a lot of grip. Its strong points are its fluidity and optimum balance which make it versatile for all types of tracks and driving styles.
The CR 31-SE model gained the podium in the 2007 World Cup and, all innovations introduced with success in the competitive arena will be among the new developments added to it in 2008.
The R Series, distinguished by a conventional and recognisable design with pipes parallel to the side of the tank, is concluded with the CRX 32-SE model, and built mainly with 32 mm pipes.
This guarantees a better grip, adapting itself well to the most slippery tracks and to medium-hard tyres.
In order to evaluate the efficiency of the 2008 updates, one only needs to think of the dominance of the French Mich in the prestigious Parma Industry Trophy.
The third model in the 2008 series is distinguished by the mark CMX 32-SE and uses a different front-end designed with the pipes (mainly 32 mm) curved at the side of the tank.
This design principle offers more precision when entering a curve.
In regards to general characteristics, the CMX 32-SE is efficient with medium-hard tyres, on tracks that are not overly rubberized and with many directional changes.
An important new development common to the entire 2008 series in respect to the past season is the use of pipes with different technical specifications.
Extensive work, both in the research phase as well as on the track, has brought about solutions which, apart from the individual characteristics of each model, guarantee more effective performance in terms of balance, fluidity and grip.
Furthermore, all models are equipped with the new Wawe braking system, new rims and hubs with the possibility of using up to 6 anchorage points and with the 2nd straight torsion bar.
Plus as an option, the new Freeline rear housing with International certification and the T 12 seat by Tillet are available.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS

The entire series is constructed of steel tubes with specifications that are different in comparison with those from 2007. This choice brought benefits especially in terms of grip. The geometry of the front-end is also new in how it supports the right seat which offers rigidity to the chassis and the possibility of making more adjustments to the seat. The second front-end torsion bar is straight and comes in either steel or aluminium. The RX 32 model has better balance through modifications to the rear-end crossbeam using a more traditional form, while still remaining within certification specifications. At the leading edge of the accessories, the entire series will adopt the new rear-end steel disk brakes (as opposed to the previous ones in cast iron) designed by Wawe. They improve both braking efficiency as well as the dispersion of heat. Also new are the magnesium rims introduced to the race by Birel Motorsport after a long experimentation phase. Besides optimising the performance of the tyres, the new rims can be fixed to the hubs using from 3 to 6 anchorage points. This possibility allows modifications to the rear-end grip. The hubs are also new with the front-end ones characterized by an anchorage system using 6 pins on the disc-holder which optimizes the performance of the spindle and the “fluidity” in a curve. The rear-end is affixed on the axle with a facing clamp, uniformly sharing the fastening on the axle.
