JAF ALL JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP KF2
& FP-JR - WESTERN SERIES ROUND1
BIREL PLAYS A LEADING ROLE IN JAPAN
THE 1ST COMPETITION
OF THE WESTERN ZONE CHAMPIONSHIP CONFIRMED THE TECHNICAL SUPERIORITY
OF THE BIREL AND SUPER WINFORCE CHASSIS.
After the excellent
2007 season, the Birel and Winforce colors (the Winforce trademark
is managed by Birel Pacific in cooperation with Yamaha) prove
themselves to be at the peak of the Japanese championship
in the first meet of 2008.
In the 2nd trial for the Western zone with the KF2 and FP
Junior classes in competition, Kawabata (KF2) and Hirakawa
(FP -Junior) won two fantastic achievements.
The weekend was influenced by bad weather that, however, did
not change the valor on the field which, starting with the
qualifying round, saw the rise of the Birel drivers with the
pole being won in the KF2 by Sabawe (Birel R 31 -SE).
The competition then crowned Kawabata as the victor, who carried
the Winforce colors while the poleman Sawabe ended in 5th
place, preceded by his teammate Ui. In 2nd and 3rd place were
Nakano and Ishikawa, respectively.
In the youth FP-Junior category, success once again went to
the Winforce team with Hirakawa who preceded Yukawa and Yamauchi.
Asahi and Mori’s races were also positive, both in the
race with Winforce chassis, ending respectively in 4th and
5th place.
It must be pointed out that, in the FP-Junior class, of the
27 finalists, a good 18 drivers were in the race with Birel
and Winforce chassis.
