GRAND PRIX KARTING FFSA SALBRIS
-ROUND 2
BIREL ON TOP WITH MICH AND ZEFIRINI
IN THE KZ2
ROBIN FRINJS ALSO
WINS IN THE KF2 DURING THE POSITIVE FRENCH WEEKEND
Bad weather marked
the 2nd round of the French championship that was played out
at the Salbris racetrack. The KZ2, KF2 and KF3 classes were
on the track and, as in the 1st trial, the Birel colours were
again well noted, especially in the KZ2 class where the Birel
drivers were privileged in both of the Finals.
In Race 1 it was Enzo Zefirini who stood out over Abbasse
and Letailleur, while Mich was less fortunate, ending in 6th
place in front of team-mates Da Silva, Allemann and Ryall.
The Frenchman from the MGT team quickly redeemed himself in
Race 2 where he dominated the trial, ending with a more than
12” lead over Letailleur. Also on the podium for the
Birel team was Kevin Ludl with an excellent 3rd place, Morgan
Weber also ended the race very positively in 5th place.
Enzo Zefirini, on the other hand, was held back in the first
phase of the race, setting himself in 7th position. The highest
spot on the podium also went to the Birel team in the KF2
with Robin Frinjs who won the Sunday Final beating Lacaze
(Tony Kart).
The Belgian from the GKS team also did well in the Saturday
race, earning 5th place.
