GISSEN AND MUNOZ WIN FOR BIREL IN ICA AND ICA/JUNIOR

ANOTHER GREAT WEEKEND FOR BIREL’S COLOURS IN THE IMPORTANT AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP ORGANISED BY THE STARS FEDERATION.

The 3rd round of the Usa East Championship of the Stars Federation once again saw Birel’s colours in the limelight.

In the 100 Ica/Junior, the preliminary class par excellence, the Spanish driver Carlos Munoz lead once again and crossed the finishing line first followed by Cabrera Jr and Davis.

The European driver, who is engaged on two fronts (Usa and America), is in the running for the National title, which will be awarded in the Final of September in Canada.

Birel also won in the 100 Ica, where the returning Mike Giessen had no rivals: he crossed the finishing line almost 2” before Joel Miller. Loniewski climbed on the third step of the podium.

In the 125 Icc, Boswell had some problems (he ended only 15th after having achieved 7th place in the Pre-final) and victory went to Giebler.

Among the young drivers of the Cadet class, it was Sage Karam who gave the best performance among Birel’s drivers: the American driver arrived 2nd in the Pre-final although in the Race itself, he climbed on the 3rd step of the podium behind De Grand and Chaves.

Also worth of notice among Birel’s drivers was Murray, who arrived 5th in the Pre-final and ended up off track because of a collision during the race.
