THE BIREL TEAM ON THE PODIUM IN ALL CATEGORIES

VIGANÒ (KF3) AND TURCHETTO (KF2) GO UP THE HIGHEST STEP OF THE PODIUM. COZZAGLIO (KZ2) AND LIBOR (KF2) CONQUEST THE PLACES OF HONOR, WHEREAS CESETTI IS 3RD IN COMPETITION 1 IN KF1 AND CECCON IS 3RD IN THE KF3 BOTH IN RACE1, AND IN RACE 2.

Good indications arrive for the Birel team from the weekend in Ugento. An excellent Matteo Viganò conquers a decisive success in Competition 1 in class KF3, whereas Mario Turchetto wins the race 2 in the KF2. But, beyond these two successes, Birel team has shown an excellent competitiveness in all classes. Beginning from the queen category: the KF1. Sauro Cesetti has conquested the 2° time in qualification and, after having disputed some excellent manches of qualification, he has fought for the success both in Competition 1, and in Competition 2. In race 1, he also marked the fast lap of the competition but the match without exclusions of hits made to lose him the contact in the final phases from the Finnish Laine and from Calado who preceded him in the winning post. Excellent competition also for Parrot (Birel - Mgm) who has conquered the 4th place and for Croxford (8th ). A touch at the 1st lap, instead, has conditioned the competition of Wittmann, only 14th tat the finish line. In Competition 2, instead, Cesetti fights still with the big, but at the end he had to be satisfied with the 4th place behind Laine, Calado and Catt. Janson Parrot is 9th , whereas Croxford, who has some problems of set up, he doesn't go over the 15th place. Unlucky Wittmann forced to retreat for an exit from race track. In the championship Cesetti is 3rd with 49 points behind Catt (74) and Laine (56). In KZ2 Monza team is still first who, with Manuel Cozzaglio, it has conquered a beautiful 2nd place in Competition 1 and the 4th position in Competition 2. Both win to Ardigò, while Laudato made a lot of tests in view of European trial in 15 days penalizing just a bit the absolute performance: the pilot from Cave dei Tirreni has closed Competition 1 at 7th place and Competition 2 in 6th position. In championship is head and head between Ardigò (85 points) and Cozzaglio (78). In KF2 still firs in qualification Maring Burkhard (KSB - Birel) who wins the pole, but very well also for De Conto of the young people Birel project (Easykart driver program). The Italian is absolute 5th , but, with 150 grams less, he begins in ascent his weekend departing last in all manches. The Competition 1 is conditioned at the start by an accident between Burkhard and Camponeschi, with the success which goes to the Spanish Monrans after the exclusion of Tarancon for incorrect behavior. De Conto goes up to the 5th place before Turchetto, but once more a naivety costs expensive to the Italian pilot who, to have surpassed an adversary in the phase of neutralization of the competition, is excluded by the classified results. In competition 2 Monras is first, but Turchet, author of a good start, goes soon to conduct going to conquer a decisive affirmation. In 2nd position Stevens goes up again from the back areas, while Monrans conquers the 3rd place. Burkhard closes in 12th position, while De Conto is only 16th for a problem to the valve of the motor. In championship Stevens precedes about 17 points Monras and about 19 Marings Burkhard. In KF3 Matteo Viganò it is the first of Competition 1 where he studies Cunill till 3 passages from the end for then to pass him and win with almost 2" of advantage. An excellent Kevin Ceccon (Gandolfi - Birel team) win the 3rd place, in great evidence since the qualifications. Unlucky Riccardo Agostini who, after having conquered the 2nd absolute time in qualification, suffers an accident in a manche and also a following penalty for a contested procedure of start. Forced to depart in Final from the back areas he doesn't go over the 21st place. In Competition 2, instead, the adversity hits Viganò who, at the start, has a problem with the motor and he goes off last. The Italian will go up again with determination until the points zone for then having problems owing to an exit of track: at the end he is 17th . The success goes to Harvey who precedes Cunill and still an excellent Ceccon. In championship Harvey is first with 68 points, while Viganò is 2nd with 45. The next appointment with the Open is scheduled in Jesolo the next 20th May, while the kart of vertex will be still on scene in Ugento the next 6th May with the European championship of the classes KF1, KZ1 and KZ2.
